Windows 10 gearing up for optimised gaming and streams
After rumours sparked by dug up .dll files and lots of speculation, Microsoft's Game Mode for Windows 10 is now officially a thing. The upcoming Creators Update for Windows 10 will include Beam, a service similar to Twitch and work on Game Mode is underway. The feature aims to optimise performance on PCs while running games.
"Our goal is to make Windows 10 the best Windows ever for gaming. With the Creators Update, we’re introducing a new feature called Game Mode. Our vision is for Game Mode to optimize your Windows 10 PC for increased performance in gaming. This is a big update for Windows; we’re looking forward to Insiders getting their hands on this new feature for further testing, and we’ll have much more to share on what it is and how it works soon", was stated in a recent announcement by big M.
It still remains unclear whether this feature will only be available for games featured on the Windows Store, or games in general.
