Fantastic Contraption is coming to PlayStation VR in early 2017, after launching for HTC Vive and Oculus Rift in April this year
Fantastic Contraption has been out fo HTC Vive and Oculus Rift since early April this year, and is arriving on the PSVR in spring 2017. While the Vive version of the game operates on roomscale space, it appears that the PSVR rendition will require a PlayStation Move controller, and shrinks the game down to a desk sized building space.
Fantastic Contraption has its roots in a flash-based physics puzzle game from 2008. It was very 2D back then, but the essential core principle has translated to 3DVR unscratched - get the pink ball into the goal, with the aid of physics and various contraptions. According to the PlayStation Blog the player will be accompanied by a tool dispenser, taking the form of a green cat... that... farts... rainbows?
The game's developers, Northway Games have enjoyed positive reviews for the Steam release of the game, and with the assistance of Radial Games, the game should transition well to PlayStation VR, baring major misfortune.
