Space Hulk: Deathwing delayed for a few days after intense beta testing
The release date for Space Hulk: Deathwing has been pushed to December 14th, after some technical issues revealed themselves in a closed beta test, that took place last week.
"In order to offer the best possible experience at launch, we have decided to postpone a few days the release of Space Hulk: Deathwing to allow the Streum On Studio and Focus Home Interactive teams to work on the final adjustments and optimisation. As a result, the game will release December 14th on PC", is the official notice on the games web-site.
In Deathwing the player will be put in the role of a Librarian. No, not that kind of librarian. A Space Marine Librarian. This variant of Librarian wears a tank-load of armour, teleports through hell to reach his desired destination and shoots lightning out of his eyes. Since such a unique skill set would be wasted on collecting and stacking books, this librarian and his Terminator battle brothers spend most of their time stomping alien bugs on derelict spaceships.
Games Workshop has been more than generous with the rights to the Warhammer 40K setting in recent years, and we didn't have a first person shooter set in the 40K universe since the abysmal Fire Warrior, back in 2003. Still, hopes are high.
The finished product will be available on Wednesday the 14th, baring further delays.
