2K didn't have a particularly successful run with WWE 2K20 and with Covid-19 weighing in on the risk factors, the wrestling company announced there will be no WWE 2K21.

Yuke's may have parted ways with the WWE 2K franchise but being at the helm for a few decades means it's just a matter of time before your name is whispered again. But no, Yuke's is not working on any WWE games.

Much has been said about this year's instalment of 2K Games' wrestling franchise, WWE 2K20. You probably know that most was quite unkind, and now we hear rumours that the publisher will skip WWE 2K21 altogether.

It's been less than a fortnight since the launch of WWE 2K20 and 2K Games and Visual Concepts are mostly busy with putting out the immediate fires. Credit to them though - they rolled out an update an entire week earlier than promised.

By now, there's pretty much zero chance you missed the ridiculous bugs and glitches that launched with WWE 2K20, where 2K Games and Visual Concepts really gave Bethesda a run for their money, but the two now announced fixes coming soon.

It's been quite an eventful week for gaming and gamers, with four new releases and all of them in the top five. King of the hill, of course, is Activision and Infinity Ward's Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, which beat its predecessor.

By now it's pretty clear that the departure of Yuke's from the WWE 2K franchise has taken a lot more than 2K Games hoped for, and definitely more than Visual Concepts could've handled on their own, which is why Sony's refunding the game.

2K Games have revealed WWE 2K20 release date, cover stars and special editions. The game is set to launch on 22 October 2019 with Roman Reigns and The Man Becky Lynch on the cover. It will be available in Deluxe and Collector's editions.
