Red Dead Redemption 2

Rockstar have released a new update for Red Dead Online Beta which introduces a new battle royale mode dubbed Gun Rush. It supports up to 32 players and unlike Make it Count it has guns. It's playable in free for all and team modes.

It's been a few weeks since FIFA 19 started its hunt for the first spot in UK's physical sales chart, picking up speed a bit faster than Rockstar's Red Dead Redemption 2, whose second stint in the first place has now come to an end.

With seven nominations, Rockstar's mammoth Red Dead Redemption 2 is leading the list of nominees for the GDC Awards 2019. PlayStation 4 exclusives God of War and Spider-man are close behind with 12 nominations, Game of the Year included.

The latest report from Entertainment Retailers Association shows that in 2018, games accounted for more than half of the entire UK entertainment market. This also means that the games market is bigger from video and music sector combined.

There's no doubt that Sony had a year well worth remembering, both in terms of standout PlayStation 4 performers in general but especially with the company's exclusives, such as God of War, Marvel's Spider-Man and Detroit: Become Human.

Epic's flagship Fortnite is Google's most-searched game of 2018, as was confirmed in Google's Year in Search list. The data is specific to the United States and once again the popular battle royale had a tough competition in RDR2.

We've already said that it would be quite symbolic if Rockstar's Red Dead Redemption 2 won the last remaining week in the UK physical sales chart and that's exactly how it went down, with FIFA 19 and Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 following.

From now on, players will be able to purchase Gold Bars with real-world money in Red Dead Online. This change comes with the latest December update in which Rockstar also adds 15 additional gold bars and a cash gift to all players.

To say that Red Dead Redemption 2 development was kept under tight wraps is a severe understatement, but it's even worse for voice actors like Gabriel Sloyer who played Javier Escuella and couldn't tell a living soul about his work.

Sony's heavy hitter God of War took the ultimate award but Rockstar's Red Dead Redemption 2 snagged a couple of shiny trophies as well. Of course, Epic's battle royale wonder Fortnite was among the winners along with indie title Celeste.
