Rage 2 will use Bethesda's launcher, no mention of Steam
It seems that Rage 2 could end up bypassing Steam because preordering it from digital retailers only buys Bethesda.net keys. This means it will be exclusive to Bethesda's launcher, although we're not sure whether it's just a timed deal.
Doom and Rage have been added to Microsoft's Xbox Game Pass

RAGE 2 designer Magnus Nedfors has recently confirmed that Avalanche, id and Bethesda's game won't be coming with a multiplayer component. Apparently, the development team feels strongly about making RAGE 2 a fantastic singleplayer game.
Bethesda's Rage 2 was built on Avalanche's proprietary engine
Replying to a tweet by a curious gamer, Avalanche Studios' Christofer Sundberg revealed that Rage 2 is developed on the company's proprietary Apex engine, so it's fair to assume we'll see an open world carnage in the ilk of Just Cause 3.
Bethesda reveals more details about Rage along with a new trailer
Bethesda and id Software have revealed a pile of new details for their upcoming Rage 2. This update also came with the much requested gameplay trailer, after some fans found themselves disgruntled about yesterday's cinematic outing.
