Ion Maiden

After a lengthy controversy that not even Gamescom could quell, Ion Fury's developer Voidpoint and publisher 3DRealms came out with a brand new statement, where they put their foot down in regards to any calls for censorship of the game.

3D Realms recently found themselves on the wrong side of a lawsuit with the band Iron Maiden after the latter took issue with Ion Maiden's name. As a result, the name was changed to Ion Fury and now it has an August 2019 release date.

Metal legends Iron Maiden have sued Ion Maiden, old-school shooter by Voidpoint and 3DRealms, over 'misappropriation and use of a virtually identical imitation' of their trademark. The band fears it may cause confusion among their fans.

It seems there's no shortage of gaming nostalgia these days as 3DRealms, the makers of legendary Duke Nukem 3D, are coming out with Wrath: Aeon of Ruin, an old school shooter in every possible sense of the word. Yes, that's Quake-1 Tech.
