Epic Games ban more than 1,000 Fortnite: World Cup cheaters
Despite having kicked off Fortnite: World Cup one week ago, Epic Games have already banned more than a thousand cheaters, one of whom actually cheated in semi-finals. Obviously, one million dollars each week is a strong cheat motivator.

Fortnite's update v8.40 may have been light on weapons but it seems it didn't lack in bugs, and Epic rolling out v8.40.1 is proof enough. The bugs weren't exactly game breaking but they did cause a lot of confusion, so Epic to the rescue.

Epic have rolled out the v.8.40 update to Fortnite: Battle Royale and while it doesn't add any new weaponry, it takes to the skies more than ever, with Air Royale limited time mode. Fan favourite LTM Food Fight is also making a return.

Epic seem to be having real trouble making the Baller fit into Fortnite: Battle Royale, in spite of the fact it launched almost a full month ago. The dev nerfed its health by 100 HP, which they claim was the best possible solution.
Fortnite 8.30 adds Reboot Van, Buccaneer's Bounty, Fly Explosives
As promised in Epic's last development update video, Fortnite v8.30 has brought Reboot Vans, Epic's version of Apex Legends' respawn mechanic, as well as Fly Explosives limited time mode and Buccaneer's Bounty Event, which will cycle LTMs.
