Scavengers Studio's Darwin Project got a release date. The game will launch for PC, Xbox One as well as PlayStation 4. The dev team has added a new class system and fresh gear. The in-game shop has also been updated. Darwin Project is free to play.

Scavengers Studio, the developer of Darwinist battle royale Darwin Project have announced the game going free to play on Microsoft's Xbox One, although as you're probably well aware by now, Microsoft's free is the "pay us" kind of free.

Darwin Project is a battle royale game currently in early access on Steam and yet, it is not ''just another battle royale''. Scavengers Studio have managed to pull off a game that isn't a copy of PUBG or Fortnite, while in the same genre.

Darwin Project has been rejuvenated ever since it went free to play. The latest milestone is a testament to that, but Scavengers Studio aren't stopping there, dropping a new patch days after the game reached one million downloads.

Darwin Project's customization potential was increased exponentially with the newest update, which brought over 200 new cosmetic items, including a spoofed version of Adidas tracksuits that are extremely popular in Russian gopnik culture.

Darwin Project seems to have shed some of its player base as Scavenger Studios are converting the game to free to play in order to keep queue time low for less populated servers. The players who already bought it will get a Founder's Pack.

Scavengers Studio, the developers behind the upcoming battle royale game, Darwin Project, have announced another open beta. The second beta will kick off later this week. The new version of the game will offer Private Matches and Spectator Interactions on Twitch.
