Battlefield V getting Defying the Odds 1.2 hotfix this week
Dice and EA will be rolling out yet another Battlefield V update this week, as the former wrote that the Defying the Odds 1.2 hotfix is currently pending certification. It should, among other things, address Xbox One crashing issues.
Dice roll out Battlefield V's new North African map Al Sundan
Dice and EA have rolled out Battlefield V's new map called Al Sundan. As you can see, the map is set in a desert, the North African one, and if you've played through the game's campaign, chances are you'll be pretty familiar with it.
Battlefield V's next chapter Defying the Odds gets launch date
EA and Dice have released a new trailer in which they announced Battlefield V's next chapter named Defying the Odds. The free content update will start on 27 June 2019 with the introduction of a brand new vehicle-based map named Al Sundan.
Battlefield V's new map Mercury finally has a release date
EA and Dice have confirmed that a new Mediterranean map named Mercury will finally arrive to Battlefield V on 30 May 2019 as a free update, part of Chapter 3: Trial By Fire. Judging by the reveal trailer, it will be a smaller map.

EA and Dice found themselves in midst of controversy with Battlefield V, this time over the Pit Crew cosmetics. This particular skin set was freely obtainable since the launch and but the two pulled it and reintroduced it at a Boins price.
Battlefield V Firestorm duos mode removed as no one is playing it
Dice have removed Duos mode from Battlefield V's battle royale mode once again and this time, it's because not enough people are playing it apparently. Dice explained the decision on Reddit by saying that more players prefer Squads mode.

EA delivered their results for the fiscal year ended with 31 March 2019, and quite unsurprisingly - Anthem hasn't met the publisher's expectations. Firestorm, on the other hand, turned out to be the biggest Battlefield live service event.
Battlefield V is getting visibility improvements in next update
Dice have officially confirmed that player visibility issue in Battlefield V will finally be addressed in one of the upcoming, May updates. The new system should make soldiers more visible in very dark and very bright environments.
Battlefield V's new mode brings narrow, infantry-only combat
Battlefield V's latest game mode is named Grind and it turns the regular maps into narrow and long corridors, emphasizing the infantry-only combat. Grind will be available for a limited time only and it supports four maps at the moment.
Battlefield V Firestorm adds Duos mode for a limited time
Battlefield V Firestorm now offers Duos mode, which will be available for a limited time only - until Monday, 15 April 2019. After that, Dice and EA will take a look at the feedback and tweak the mode before the final introduction.
