Anthem is an open-world looter shooter by Electronic Arts and BioWare. The game was announced with a lot of hype and spectacular trailers but ultimately failed to attract players. Anthem Next, a rework of the game is expected in 2020.
EA respond to Anthem's crashing of PlayStation 4 consoles
Well, the first step towards solving a problem is admitting you've got one, right? Which is sort of what EA did when they tweeted they're aware of it but haven't really offered a solution - they just called for more crash reports.

Much has been said about EA and BioWare's looter shooter Anthem but if the physical sales are anything to go by - it's not doing half bad as it managed to hold onto first place in spite of three newcomers to UK's top 10 all-formats chart.
Bioware change Inscriptions and item drops in Anthem loot update
Anthem's Inscriptions have been tweaked to make them more suited for the weapon they are attached to. Bioware also removed white and green items from level 30 drop tables and reduced the materials needed for crafting masterwork items.

BioWare's stance on loot mechanics in Anthem have been a rollercoaster as the developers first said there would be no stealth nerfs, then pulled one, explained why they did it and after further fan backlash decided to listen to Travis Day.
Upcoming Anthem content includes new freeplay events and missions
Bioware have revealed the first 90-day roadmap for Anthem which shows new stronghold addition is coming in May 2019. Evolving Together update which starts in just a couple of days will introduce new cosmetics, rewards and free play events.
Anthem scores an easy win in UK retail, Far Cry: New Dawn second
For all the dust kicked up over Anthem not really being up to code, the game didn't seem to have much trouble in UK's retail. BioWare's shooter came in comfortably first, displacing last week's winner, Ubisoft's Far Cry 5: New Dawn.

Bioware confirmed that they are working on Anthem crashing issues which should get fixed in one of the future patches. On top of that, the developer listed a number of implemented fixes since the day one patch landed on 21 February 2019.

Bioware have launched a substantial day one patch for Anthem ahead of release. The patch is aimed to fix serious issues like long loading times, but many players have started reporting new problems which surfaced after the hasty update.
