Anthem is an open-world looter shooter by Electronic Arts and BioWare. The game was announced with a lot of hype and spectacular trailers but ultimately failed to attract players. Anthem Next, a rework of the game is expected in 2020.
Ohlen squashes rumours of EA being in charge on Anthem
James Ohlen, the man behind titles such as Baldur's Gate, Neverwinter Nights and Star Wars KOTOR, has squashed the rumours, or more like conspiracy theories, which claimed that EA's got a bigger say in Anthem things than BioWare themselves.

EA's newest Iron Man simulator will apparently have unchanged gameplay and graphics from the original E3 trailer. BioWare stated there will be no downgrades and the game's development is sailing along smoothly with an E3 2018 presentation.

Mass Effect Andromeda launched with abysmal reception, which is what BioWare's general manager addressed in his blog post about fans' concerns with Anthem's DLC and whether story content will be added as opposed to Mass Effect: Andromeda.

EA recently denied the rumours that Anthem was being delayed into 2019. The company then went and simply moved Anthem's release date because they didn't want it to clash with an upcoming Battlefield game. Bioware is still working of another Dragon Age title.

Mark Darrah, the executive producer of the Dragon Age franchise and Anthem, tweeted that both games are currently in development. The latter will be given a head start, said Darrah. We stil don't know if Anthem will sport EA's new microtransaction patent.
BioWare claim they won't use EA's matchmaking algorithm in Anthem
EA has recently filed a patent for a matchmaking algorithm they hope will influence players when purchasing in-game items. Technical Design Director Brenon Holmes assured players BioWare will not add the divisive algorithm to their upcoming RPG - Anthem.
