Geoff Keighley revealed the upcoming four-month-long event where the gaming industry will come together to showcase new things. He has also revealed the participants of the first part of the event.
E3 is cancelled, Gamescom as well. The summer of 2020 looked gloomy for the news in the gaming world but the industry refused to just roll over with no fight. Instead of massive conventions, we are getting digital events and one of them was announced on 1 May 2020.
Headed by The Game Awards' Geoff Keighley, the four-month-long event is set to give us news, demos, in-game events and more fun. The kicker is that we never have to leave the comfort of our home and more importantly - we don't need to risk getting exposed to Covid-19 to enjoy the best of what 2020 games industry has to offer.
The event has a Twitter account all set up, which will undoubtedly keep posting news and updates regarding the events and its participants. Alternatively, there is Keighley's account and Game Awards' YouTube channel which are both tied to the event as well. In fact, the trailer below is from TGA's channel.
Keighley also posted the participants of Phase 1 of the event. The full list is as follows:
- Bandai Namco
- CD Projekt
- Digital Extremes
- Private Division
- Riot Games
- Suare Enix
- Warner Bros.
Many found themselves hyped up after noticing WB on the list as a new Batman game has already been teased across several channels and we are expecting news to drop anytime now.
