Another M-rated game by Thq Nordic is making its way onto Switch. This the Police is the 5th title on Switch to receive such rating.

This is the Police revolves around Jack Boyd, Chief of Police, Freeburg PD. His days mostly consist of fighting crime, annoying the Mayor, the Mafia, the Labor Union and everyone else. It's also about the money. A whole lot of it.

"About the game" section says: "This Is the Police is a strategy/adventure game set in a city spiraling the drain. Taking the role of a gritty Police Chief Jack Boyd, you'll dive into a deep story of crime and intrigue. Will Jack reach his retirement with a nice stack of bills, or will he end up broken ... or worse?"

Jack is close to retirement and needs a bit of money. More accurately he needs £378,500. Also, you have 180 days to come up with the cash, or else. You will be given a chance to decide the best course of action, but be warned: your actions and decisions have consequences.

Remember, you're still The Chief of Freeburg's Police Department and that means you have to deal with all kind of people as well as respond to emergencies, manage your officers, defend the department against City Hall and a corrupt mayor and more.

Your job is also to collect evidence and solve cases. You know, because this is the police. Since you're a high ranking government official, everyone will offer you favours but each of those comes with some considerable strings, so choose carefully. Jack Boyd is fully voiced by Jon St. John, the voice of Duke Nukem.

This is the Police is already available for other consoles, PC, Mac and Linux as digital download and retail box (console version only). The Switch version will launch digitally on 24 October 2017, and the physical version will be out on 05 December.
