Slitherine released an FAQ regarding the upcoming Warhammer 40,000: Battlesector and thus revealed the full list of units on release.

Warhammer 40,000 games tend to feature numerous factions and Battlesector will not be all that different. There are going to be three factions at release and possibly more in a future update as Black Lab Games are planning a lot of post-launch content, including new units.

The units that will be available in W40K: Battlesector at launch are:

  • Blood Angels
    • Lieutenant (including a unique Lieutenant, Sgt/Lt. Carleon)
    • Primaris LibrarianSanguinary Priest (including a unique Sanguinary Priest, Brother Aeturo)
    • Intercessor Squad
    • Inceptor Squad
    • Hellblaster Squad
    • Aggressor Squad
    • Assault Marine Squad
    • Death Company Squad
    • Techmarine
    • Furioso Dreadnought
    • Librarian Dreadnought
    • Land Speeder
    • Land Speeder Typhoon
    • Baal Predator
  • Sisters of Battle
    • Battle Sister Squad
    • Seraphim Squad
    • Sister Superior Verity
  • Tyranids
    • Hive Tyrant
    • Tervigon
    • Tyranid Warriors
    • Tyranid Prime
    • Venomthropes
    • Trygon
    • Termagants
    • Hormagaunts
    • Genestealers
    • Exocrine
    • Thornback
    • Tyrannofex
    • Gargoyles

Given the small number of Sisters of Battle units, it's possible they will just be a small addition to Blood Angels as allies in certain missions. There is also another unit that sounds particularly interesting - Death Company Squad.

If you're not familiar with the lore of 40K, Blood Angels have a flaw in their gene-seed that eventually makes them go into an uncontrollable rage. This makes them more powerful in the battlefield but subject to execution due to madness after the battle. All Death Company members suffered this Black Rage so it will be interesting to see how their unique traits are incorporated into the game mechanics.
