Just on the heels of the Xbox Games Showcase, we've got some more information about Forza Horizon 5's setting and the overall feel. We can't wait to see the volcano.

Xbox Games Showcase has given us some additional information about upcoming titles. Ever since E3 shined some more light on the development of Forza Horizon 5, the fans have been clamouring for every bit of info they can get their hands on.

Forza Horizon 5 was crowned the "Overall Most Anticipated game" at the Official E3 2021 Awards Show , and now we have reports of the game's setting and some marvellous feats of code engineering.

Forza Horizon 5 - setting

Creative Director Mike Brown described Forza Horizon 5 as a love letter to Mexico.

The game will show its players the wonders of the county and take them through its vast, diverse, and ever-evolving world of striking contrast and beauty.

Players will be able to lead expeditions across Mexico with its stunning diversity, where they’ll discover living deserts, lush jungles, historic cities, hidden ruins, pristine beaches, and a towering snow-capped volcano.

The volcano takes centre-stage as the highest point in a Horizon game ever. This achievement was possible thanks to the power of the Xbox Series X|S console.

Forza Horizon 5 will also feature mural artwork produced by Mexican artists, original compositions and voice actors from the country - all in an effort to present an authentic, living world.

Forza Horizon 5 EventLab

Forza Horizon 5 will also feature the EventLab – similar to previous modes like Super7 and Blueprint races, but bigger and with a new toolset that includes custom races, challenges, stunts, new games modes and so much more.

More information on Forza Horizon will be shared in the coming months, in the lead-up to the game's launch on November 9.
