To dedicate the proper amount of time for a deep dive into Starfield, a standalone show is in the works, Bethesda confirmed.
Following the announcement of the Xbox Developer Direct show for Redfall , Forza Motorsport and other upcoming Xbox games but not Starfield , Bethesda and Microsoft have confirmed that Starfield will have its separate show soon.
Bethesda calls the planned Starfield showcase a "deep dive" so expect plenty of gameplay and insight into game systems, features and of course Todd Howard in his iconic leather jacket.
"To dedicate the proper amount of time for a deep dive into Starfield, a standalone show is in the works," Bethesda tweeted.
Sadly, we didn't get a confirmation of when exactly to expect this Starfield deep dive. If we had to guess, we would say it's coming sometime in March 2023 but that's just us guessing and nothing more.
For Starfield fans, the sooner this reveal arrives the better, as the community have been growing increasingly worried over the last couple of months that Starfield may not make it before Autumn 2023.
While it's certainly possible that Starfield launches in the second half of the year, the announcement of the upcoming deep dive should help put those fears to rest, at least for a while.
Starfield is officially confirmed to be launching in 2023 for Xbox Series X|S and PC via Game Pass. While the release window is very broad, it's rumoured that the game could be coming sometime in the first half of the year. Fingers crossed.
